Accident at 250 km/h on the A9 in Middle Franconia - Two Seriously Injured
Two people were seriously injured in an accident on the A9 motorway in Middle Franconia on Monday afternoon.
According to police, a 22-year-old man was driving a car at around 250 km/h when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the central reservation.
The impact caused the car to overturn several times, ejecting both the driver and his 20-year-old female passenger.
Both victims were taken to hospital with serious injuries. The driver is reported to be in a life-threatening condition.
The motorway was closed for several hours while emergency services dealt with the incident.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
