In December of 2022, during an interview for Time Person of the Year, Taylor Swift brought up her longstanding feud with Kim Kardashian.
Swift claimed that she was still feeling pain over Kardashian's actions from 2016 when Kardashian leaked a phone call between Swift and Kanye West.
Background of the Feud
The feud between Swift and Kardashian began in 2016, when West released a song titled "Famous" which included the lyrics "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / I made that bitch famous." Swift publicly denied that she had given West permission to use her name in the song.
Kardashian later released a Snapchat video of a phone call between Swift and West, which she claimed showed that Swift had approved the lyrics. Swift denied this, claiming that Kardashian had edited the video to make it look that way.
Swift's Perspective
In her recent interview, Swift stated that Kardashian's actions had caused her a great deal of pain and that she still felt the effects of them today.
"It was really hard to watch that video and feel like I was being gaslit," Swift said. "And it was really hard to watch people that I had known for a long time say things that I didn't feel were true."
Kardashian's Response
Kardashian has not publicly responded to Swift's comments. However, she has previously denied leaking the phone call and has claimed that she has nothing but respect for Swift.
